BG Chapel Project

Dear Alumni, Friends, and Benefactors:

As many of you may know, St. Benedict Parish was dissolved in the summer of 2017. Since that time, the Parish Council and representatives of Bishop Garrigan High School have worked tirelessly to make sure the history of our area can be preserved. It is in that spirit that Garrigan announced the plans for a new Chapel to better serve the needs of our students.

We would like to offer a heartfelt thank you to all of the people who have already donated to the Chapel project. Without the support and financial backing of our alumni and benefactors, projects such as this would never happen. For anyone considering a possible donation, we pray that you consider a gift, large or small.

As a school, we have kept many items from the Church for use in constructing the new Chapel. In late October, a letter discussing this project was sent to alumni and benefactors of Bishop Garrigan; as a result we are happy to report that in the past few months we have raised close to $340,000 for the Chapel and the restoration of 13 stained glass windows from St. Benedict Church. We are off to a great start, but we are still in need of roughly $160,000 to complete the project. Through the kind generosity of our alumni and supporters, we hope and pray that the project can begin in the spring of 2019.

Thank you for your prayerful consideration.

Blessings,

Jake Rosenmeyer
